Okay. Quick update before work.

We won Best Colorguard last night at the USSBA compeition in Soddy-Daisy. We also won another caption. Once I found out exactly which one it was I will update.

Other news, don't forget Thursday is the Exhibition at Faragut at 6 PM!! Mr Clupper will give details on that this week. It will probably last. . .a couple of hours.

Next week is fall break and I am planning to sit down and get pictures up on here. The last ones I have are from last year so I would LOVE IT if people could e-mail me pictures (karnguardie@comcast.net) or print them off or give me a cd. Any pictures given to me I can also give to Tim and who ever is doing the band DVD.

THANK YOU

Now its work time (11-4 at Wendy's on HV if anyone wants to come and see me!! And STACIE!! yes.)

SO sorry that i haven't updated. I haven't been able to log in until now.

But in news, we got our uniforms this afternoon. Please keep them nice!!

Here are things we need:

      - Black Socks

      - Body Tights (clear strap)

      - Clear straped bra

      - Undergarments (that leave no line)

      - Shoes

      - Make-up

      - Whatever item on the list you signed up for

      - Garment bags are nice for uniforms (they keep them clean and you can keep socks/tights/shoes in them!)

-Everyone needs to have some tape though. Kristen has donated a lot.

      - $1 for the Kristen Brings All the Tape Fund!!!!

I believe that is all for that.

THis saturday is Stan's "Crop till you Drop" from 9-4 in the cafeteria. The fee is $20 and the band gets $10 of it along with any purchases. You don't have to go the whole time. Just  go when you can if you want.

We play Bearden this week!! (YAY ANNA) We load at 5:30, depart at 6, and return aroun 11:15. We are not performing during halftime (it is there Homecoming) so we are performing AFTER the game.

The uniforms are ready. Bonnie will be by on Tues July 18th( first week of BANDCAMP)  to fit them to you. She tells me they are beautiful!!!!! Also next Tues, we need to have some people there early to clean out the guard room so the parents can start working on it. They are doing this for YOU so you need to help them out.We need ot move everything out of the room and we also need to take all the unused flags of the poles and sort them for inventory. I need to get a count of the  indoor flags we used as someone is interested in buying those. SEE YOU TUES!

**7-5-06

**6-9-06

We are starting to recieve our schedules in the mail now. Make sure that you have guard 3rd period, first term. If you don't, you can just go on the days listed to change your schedule. Mr. C has said that we need to find other times to change our schedule then the ones during band camp (the two tuesdays during BC). THat leaves June 28th I believe. From 9-11 AM. If you can't do it then (like my self, gah) then have a parent or go up there on another wendnesday or during our lunch breaks at band camp (if the guidance counslers are there)

**6-7-06

Yesterday was te first practice! We just did basics. Just make sure you drink lots of fluids before hand and eat dinner!! Unlike me. . . lol

Money for Jeff Co. Clinic is not due till the day of. I do not know about if we are all going together or not.

Stan is going to get dates for a car wash and painting of the guard room!! In which case, we need to call Star 102.1 cause if we do a car wash they could come by and maybe get more cars to come!!

Also next week I am not going to be in town, but I am going to try and get on to update with information if I get any. If you need me, call my cell.

**6-4-06

Wear tennis shoes and bring water!!

**5-31-06

I've updated the schedule with games for the 2006 season. There are two dates that Clupper didn't put so this might be pep band or something.

**5-22-06

I have added some pictures and updated the schedual.

**5-19-06

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEWS!!

We will all NOT be doing rifle. That means that only the rifle line will touch a rifle!! So do not buy one unless you want one. It would be better to wait until you hear who made the line. There will be around 8-10 rifle members.

As for sabres, there will be about 8 sabres on the field. And we will be using the metal sabres out on the practice field, so make sure you hold on to it!! :)

Also want to wish Kayla another Sweet Sixteen!!!

**5-18-06

**ADDED INFORMATION**

We will be using the metal sabres during the field show!! Yes, they might die and I am asking Tim about that. . .but he said we are not using padded sabres for shows anymore!! AND he said we do not have to purchase another rifle if we do not want to.

***

Aw, the seniors are now gone! Tonight is graduation.

But in other news, next Tuesday and Wednesday we plan to switch rooms for all oldies!! We are going to paint it (with parents help) but we need to have it painted before shelves go in and stuff. Clupper said he would buy us paint! Then i believe we have the paint from tarps.  but I don't know id we could use that.

We are also going to buy windsuits etc soon. Tim is going to get prices together for me to upload soon!! Everyone MUST have a rifle as we will ALL use them at some point in the show!! Sabres are optional for those not on the line to practice for Winterguard. I am getting those requirments soon (what kind, etc.)

For those buying a rifle it MUST be a ELITE 4....... 39", white leather strap, silver bolt!! Nothing else!

Don't forget we have rifle clinic on Tuesday!!

**5-13-06

CONGRATULATIONS to Adrian and Anna for their awards last night!! Adrian won most improved and Anna won Most Outstanding!!

The Banquet was fun, lots of talking then a little dancing at the end.

Upcoming Events

Uniform Fitting (Mandatory) May 16th in the band room after school.

Rifle Clinic May 16th after Uniform Fitting in the band room. Times are 4-6.

**5-11-06

Its been a little bit since the last update. Nothing new lately besides a few upcoming stuff.

First, this past weeks weapon clinic will be posted (what we learned, etc)

Second, Band Banquet is TOMORROW NIGHT! I hope everyone attends and has fun!!

Third, this saturday is the walk for Ainsley the guard attends, we are to meet at 9:15 at her tent for the walk. Should be over approx noon.

Other info is this Tuesday is uniform fitting!! They are being professionally made by a lady who lives in Atlanta and also does Bearden and Heritage. ANd since she is from Atlanta, this is a one time deal so its mandatory!! YOu do not have to stay for the weapon clinic though (just rifle so far)

For random information, Clupper has been gracious enough to clean out the equitment room for us to use next year as the guard room! (Applaude) So ya know.

And I will leave you with this link to a funny video - the best 6 minutes you'll have today!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg&eurl

**5-2-06

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!!

For everyone to know, everyone who tried out made the squad. I will be getting the correct names of everyone (after this afternoon, eveyrone knows Kelsey and I can not spell names correctly) and I will be able to post them on the marcing band page. I also plan to get a group picture at on of te early practices so I can post it.

Remember, weapon clinic starts on te 9th (Tuesday) and uniform fitting (mandatory, be there asap after school) is on the 16th (two weeks from now)

I've also purchased a domain name, http://www.karnsguard.org/, but i have to figure it out first >.< so that should be up an running by this weekend!! And so if everyone (upcoming freshman as well, i never told you this) could just  bring 75 cents, its not much but if 20 girls pay 75 cents it will be just enough!!

**5-1-06

Remember, tryouts are this Tuesday!! Tryouts start at 5 sharp but be there are 4 to warm-up and review. The flag routine/warmup with the stirs and eyes-ear-eyes etc is our flag routine for try-outs so make sure you are practicing that!! ALSO There is a 'uniform' for tryouts!! Dark pants (black prefered) and a white shirt is to be worn. It helps unify the guard.

We also recieved the sheets for band, a parent or yourself mush attend the new/returning member orientation on May 15th. New members are at 6-7 and returning is from 7:30-8:30. $80 band camp fee, vacation form (for when you are and are not going to be at a summer practice) and noterized medical form is due this night as well.

For the Jeff Co. clinic in June, it is for now mandatory for weapon line if you are going to be in town. It is prefered for weapon line to take intermediate/advanced rifle and intermediate/advanced sabre. Others are recommended to take begining rifle/sabre and intermediate/advance dance. If you have any questions please talk to Kim.

**4-25-06

I've added a new page about a clinic this summer, sounds like fun and Kim would like as many of us to attend. Its on June 24-25 (an overnight trip) and the cost is $50 which includes food and a shirt. Please tell Kim if you are going to attend and your shirt size.

I also updated the try-out basics (we only learned Tosters)

**4-22-06

I've added a page for Band Banquet and routines and things we learned at clinics.

Also Weapon clincs will be form 4-6 PM and try-outs on May 2nd will start at 5 sharp. I am currently unware of if who made it will be posted after or not. When I find out I will post it here.

**4-19-06
